About Freeform

Light with remarkable freedom.

Freeform Lighting creates made-to-order architectural lighting for residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors, centered around a signature flexible, illuminated braided cord. The flexibility allows light to move beyond a fixed silhouette, adapting across scales from a single pendant to room-spanning compositions shaped in response to the architecture.

Some projects begin with a carefully developed fixture; others begin with the space itself. Scale, suspension, finish, color temperature, and composition are considered in relation to where the work will live. Every fixture is designed in our New York studio and hand-assembled in the USA.

Studio + People

A new studio.Deep experience.

Founded in 2026, Freeform Lighting is a new studio built on a shared history of creating sculptural lighting together. Our team started Freeform after years spent working side by side, carrying forward those relationships and a clear sense of the studio we wanted to build together: employee-led, product-focused, and design-driven.

We’re a close-knit team with a deep respect for the craft and a belief that the care behind each piece should be felt in the experience of working with us. That closeness carries through every project, from early design conversations through final assembly.
