Freeform Lighting creates hand-assembled architectural fixtures centered around a flexible, illuminated braided cord. Each composition balances material, movement, and light, bringing a softer, more expressive presence to residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors.
Our work begins with a carefully developed fixture or with the architecture itself. From finish and color temperature to scale, suspension, and composition, each project is considered in relationship to the space it will inhabit.

From the first conversation
to final installation.

Fixture Selection or Composition Development
Select a fixture from one of our collections, or collaborate with our studio to develop a project-specific composition around the architecture and requirements of the space.

Specification and Approval
Finalize the finish, color temperature, suspension, controls, and other project details. Once the order is placed, custom compositions move through shop drawing review and approval before production begins.

Made-to-Order Production
Each fixture is made to order in our New York studio, where it is finished, assembled, inspected, and individually tested to confirm performance.

Delivery and Installation Support
Each completed fixture is carefully packed and delivered with the documentation and guidance needed to support professional installation and final styling on site.

Every Freeform fixture is assembled and finished by hand in the USA. At its center is a flexible, 360° illuminated braided cord, prepared in our studio and paired with hand-finished metal components.
Together, these elements create lighting that is precise without feeling rigid — shaped by hand, responsive to the space, and distinct in every installation.
